Douglass Unified School District 396 is recognized for quality education in the State of Kansas.  All schools, K-12, are fully accrediated by North Central Accreditation. 

In the spring of 2004, the district became only the second school district in Kansas to receive the Transitions/Credentialing accrediation endorsement.

 The district is a member of the Butler County Special Education Cooperative which includes the nine school districts located in the county.  Douglass USD 396 is also a member of the South Central Education Service Center and the Central Plains League.
